Logistics Network is a not for profit, private networking club for directors and professionals involved across the logistics and delivery industry.
Paul Ridden,MD, Skillweb started the Logistics Network in 2009 as a way for industry professionals to share best practice and how to overcome industry challenges of the day in an independent environment.
Today, although Skillweb still sponsors Logistics Network, it remains an independent forum to discuss key points of interest and topical debate.
The simple aim of the Logistics Network (Formally C3 Club) is: “to bring like-minded executives together to discuss business challenges in a private environment.”
Please note that membership is by personal invitation or introduction only and usually members are associated with couriers, carriers, distribution, freight, postal and fulfilment businesses only at senior management level.
Members are invited to meet 3 times a year, for half a day which provides a fantastic networking opportunity over lunch at various Michelin recommended locations in the UK.
This year we have decided to hold our first event of the year in the Midlands, followed in the Summer by a venue in the North of England, while the final Autumn meeting will take place in the South. See our current events here
Typically the morning sessions cover ‘hot’ business topics by guest speakers before inviting comment and open discussion. Past speakers include CEOs and Directors from CitySprint, Palletways, The Perfume Shop, DHL, Amethyst, MyParcelDelivery.com and the Ministry of Defence.
A charge for lunch is levied to cover costs of attendance and the three course meal – members can select to attend as few or as many club events as they wish. A post-meeting summary is distributed to all members.
New for 2014
Following feedback from our members, we will be giving the option for our members to network over drinks the evening before the meeting. This has previously been a successful way for those who wish or need to stay overnight to enjoy the fantastic surroundings at a preferential rate and enjoy some off the record networking. Please see our events page for more information.
